BALANCE CONTAINER
GENERAL FEATURES
The fluid utilized in the installations experiences heat loss when returning to the boiler. The occurrence of this temperature difference causes thermal stresses in the boiler and shortens the boiler's lifespan. The primary function of the balance container is to ensure the thermal stability of the cooled liquid returning from the installation by mixing it with the hot water from the boiler. Therefore, the thermal imbalance is reduced to a minimum.
Selection of Balance Container;
- When sizing, the maximum heating water flow must be taken as a basis.
- The water flow rate inside the hydraulic balance tank should be sized to a maximum of 0.2 m/s.
- The pump on the primary side must be chosen to overcome the resistance of the boiler and the primary side installation. The pump on the secondary side must be chosen to overcome the resistances of the secondary side installation. All heating circuits on the secondary side must possess separate pumps. The resistance of the balance container itself is negligible.
- The flow temperature is measured by a sensor, which is welded to the secondary side, via the hydraulic equilibrium vessel.
Note: A drain valve should be utilized in order for the system to operate properly and efficiently.
