A pressure reducing valve is a device utilized to lower and stabilize the upstream pressure down to a configured downstream pressure. If the incoming pressure from the public mains fluctuates and is too high, this valve will stabilize that downstream pressure to the preset level. Any potential fluctuations in the upstream pressure will not impact the adjusted downstream pressure. This series of pressure reducing valves enables operators to modify the downstream pressure to a specific set figure.

Installation

The BDV 25 should be mounted on a horizontal pipeline, keeping the flow direction aligned as indicated by the arrow located on the product body. How to read the chart? The numbered curves (2,3,4,5, etc.) represent the upstream pressures. The corresponding downstream pressures can be read along the vertical axis on the left-hand side of the chart.
