INVESTMENTS OF AYVAZ A.S. ARE KEEPING ON
Ayvaz company was established in 1948 by father Hacı Ayvaz, to produce taps in Turkey. Since 1980, the firm has directed by Onno Ayvaz and today serving in installation sector with the specialist partners like Mesut Öztelcan, Hüseyin Dedeoğlu, Turhan Nazikcan and Serhan Alpagut. Ayvaz accelerated its production with producing bronze ship valves in 1960, various type of valves and armatures in 1970.Ayvaz started to produce expansion joints in compliance with EJMA standarts with the licence of French Colorstat firm in 1980 and boiler level regulator with the licence of Italian Fantini Cosmi firm in 1982, and also steam traps with own international patents in 1983. We made a conversation with the shareholders; Mesut Öztelcan (Board of Directors Chief Assistant) and Hikmet Temel (Sales Manager) about the innovations, in Hadımköy factory.
Mesut Öztelcan and Onno Ayvaz have been in the sector long years and after intensive researches and hard working period, they produced thermostatic, Bi-metallic,thermodynamic and float types steam traps also magnetic level controllers.They supported these products with international patents.
Mesut Öztelcan told us ; In 1980 the goods which produced with 16 people had sold in Perşembe Pazarı. To meet the needs in domestic and foreign markets, for increasing the production capacity and new investments, the firm had carried to Avcılar factory in 1984. And added that ; they had started to produce stainless steel flexible hoses with their technology which has never been produced in Turkey markets. They had started to produce disco type check valves, butterfly valves and ball valves after finished their machine course. They had continued the required certificate studies, in order to the related products could also be acceptable in abroad.
Öztelcan pointed out that ; in connection with the increasing demands to new products in the sector and the necessity to increase the capacity, it was necessary to carried out to a new factory. For this reason they had carried out to their new factory in Hadımköy in 2001.

Öztelcan said : "We improved our staff ( R&D, engineer, sales, marketting groups ) and so we can follow the managing programmes which was accepted all over the world. We are working with our young and talented staff with ISO 9001 : 2000 and CE certificates which was taken from Germany TUV and international certificates which is belong to 11 countries. After these studies foreign region directorships were founded in Ukrain and Italy and in near future the preparations will have finished to established a region directorship in Germany. Today, we are proud of being 963th in first 1000 industrial foundations in Turkey.We know that we can add a lot of products to the sector with our new projects. So we are maintaining our studies with care to realize this. We obtain our turnovers % 56 from our sales to 62 countries. And this manufacturing progress that we realize without giving any concession, makes us happy.
Quality takes the most important place for us every time and we try to reflect technological developments to our manufacturing progress in a short time as we can.

NEW PRODUCTS
Öztelcan said : " Because of the economical and political crisis in Turkey, we made investments with our capital, thinking the future every time. But in the near future these existing production area may not be enough. And also the earthquake is the reality of our country. In Turkey there are many luxury residances, shopping centers, hospitals and industrial foundations. Taking into consideration we produced dilotation - eartquake (sismic ) expansion joints to protect the system by preventing collapsing and breakage of the pipeline by compensating movements caused by earthquake, collapsing, etc. in all directions. With its gimbal type it protects the bellow. Because of its widespread using field it arouse interest by designers and the users.
Another product group is couplines. We took Turkeys general agency of Vision firm which has ULFM certificate. Using couplines has low labour cost and easy assembling of joining methods. Couplins are prefered especially in Europens and Americas fire lines and also rapidly increasing in our firms product range. We are watching closely the developments of the boiler level electrode. We can take 4 contacts with the method of dipping to the boiler by boiler level electrode. These contacts are called high level alarm, low level alarm, pump start and pump stop. These electronical functioned product is located near the boiler level electrode which is using in the sector for a long time and it takes important place in boiler level market. Level electrode ensures the control of all functions inside the panel. No external control device is required, so this system is fairly demanding.
We are keeping on forming innovations in our steam trap production department. Ayvaz manufactured sight glass and filtered steam traps as a first producer in Turkey, because of the intensive demand. By way of sight glass, the mechanism of the system can be controlled by naked eye comfortably. And by way of the filter which is in the steam trap, it can be possible to remove the sediments from the mechanism.
We added the balance valves to our valve group which is being demanded recently. Technological developments of balance are changing rapidly. For this reason we presented dynamic balance valves to the sector. These valves which is called automatic flow controlled valves have a simple run. By way of diaphragm and controlling spring in its structure, it is running on the basis of the pressure difference. Because of removing particules and sediments that is caused by the system, it is preferred. And our company is keeping on being the leader of this subject. Ayvaz is following up the innovations currently and expanding service quality.
Hikmet Temel, who is the Sales and Marketting Manager told us about structure and working system of Ayvaz. And added : "Today Ayvaz A.Ş.is employing 400 personnel , working in the department of manufacturing, planning, R&D, quality control, sales and marketting. % 40 of them are white collar and 52 of them are engineer.
We have customers in 62 country. We are expoting % 56 of our products and the rest of our products are selling in domestic market.
Domestic sales of Ayvaz are being made by the franchisers which are separated to regions. There are local branch offices in Ankara, İzmir, Bursa, Çorlu, Adana and Antalya. Our innovations, developments and product variety are explaining by visiting contractors, factories, contruction site, official institutions and project managers.
In industrial product market, our products are used almost in all factory in Turkey. We have an extensive referances which have pressure and heat alternatives in food, chemistry, textile, automotive, refinery, petro-chemical, medical, paper, heavy industry, thermic centrals, iron&steel factories ; gas, residances, houses, shopping centers, and every type of fluid ( steam,saturated steam, super heated oil, super heated water,cold water, acidic fluid, exhoust etc. )
With our before/after sale engineer staff, we are serving solutions to Turkey's every place in a short time. And we know that we must study hard in this way .
We believe that the factory trips and education seminars that we organize every year are important for our presentation.
